I'm on MAMP Pro 6.4, macOS Big Sur (I'm not sure I should upgrade to Monterey yet), and when I click Check for Updates, I get a box that says version 6.6 is available, but the Install button is grayed out. All I can do is click Cancel.
Can someone explain what's going on?

OK, so... the issue is that the user is not informed as to why the Install button is grayed out? I don't see anywhere in the modal that it's a "bigger update" which can't be installed in-app nor why that is nor what to click or what to do or where to go to.
Having to make a forum post to get that info I think is very inefficient.
I'm sorry I didn't assume the things you've stated and go out to try to find and download the update first, not that I think anyone should feel the need to apologize for that.

Let them know where? You left a generic link basically advertising the app I already use.
