Apache server does not start automatically

Post by FranckS »

Hi from France.
I have an issue on 2 servers that have been downgraded from MAMP Pro 6.4 to MAMP Pro 5.7.
I have submitted a support ticket but I have no solution yet.
After MAMP Pro has been uninstalled by the appropriate menu, the MAMP Pro folder trashed from /Applications and MAMP Pro 5.7 reinstalled.
Apache > "Include Apache server in GroupStart" checked > Servers (start)
The trigger is "ON". Fine.
Then I quit MAMP Pro app... the server is stopped.
Maybe there's something obvious I am missing.
Reinstalling the server totally is not really an option there.
An alternative to a solution here may be to have a solution for enabling a .htpassword authentication with MAMP Pro 6.4 (other post).
Thank you in advance for any suggestion !
See you.

Hi.
I just reinstalled MAMP Pro 5.7 and MAMP Pro 6.4 and observed that in the latest version, there's a Preferences pane named "Server" that offers the choice "on System Startup" (YES for me) and Stop Servers when quitting MAMP Pro (Off for me).
That is the behaviour which is missing in MAMP Pro 5.7 after I downgraded from MAMP Pro 6.4.
If it can help to understand.
See you.
