MAMP Pro v7 Release Announcement

MAMP 7 is out, and $$$ so no I will not be upgrading. 50% to upgrade and then $49 every year. While I can see that subscription based models are the in thing, for the amount of support and lack thereof I cannot justify spending that money. I have a ticket still open from 3 months ago, they just don't bother to get back to you.

After astonishingly poor messaging and responsiveness by the developers for over two years, MAMP Pro 7 is finally here, and it includes support for MySQL 8. I may be the only customer who hasn't yet defected, but I'm going to give the upgrade a try. If anyone else has already done so and has a review to offer, I'd sure appreciate hearing about it.

Thanks for the update! I see the release on their page. I won't be trying it until at least a few versions in. I'm going to start a new thread for everyone here.
