Hi everyone, wondering if there's a guide to accessing MAMP sites across a local Mac network?
I run Macbook Pro with MAMP and several wordpress sites on the localhost.
I'd like to work on these sites on a Mac Mini (same network) - I have file sharing on so typing the following into a browser on the Mac Mini shows the homepage of a wordpress site on the MAMP MacBook:
http://macbook.local:8888/name-of-site/
I can see the content on the homepage, however it doesn't load any theme, styling or css... if I try to navigate anywhere but the homepage, it replaces "https://macbook.local" with "https://localhost", so no other pages work.
Is there a clean way to set this up? Thanks in advance
DR.

Re: Access MAMP across local network on Mac
So as long as you've set the IP and port (port you have MAMP using) of your host on the computer running your MAMP host, you can access the site the same way by typing the MAMP's computer hostname and appending the port. It's also documented here.
The latest version of MAMP doesn't seem to have the "Xip.io" name resolution feature anymore where this used to let you broadcast the MAMP hostname across your network.
