It would be nice to have MAMP intelligently restart a service via an automated command if a service became unresponsive suddenly - i.e. MySQL, PHP, Apache, etc. We would like to see this as an option (checkbox) and obviously not on by default.

It would be nice to see MAMP perform auto-updates to all associated databases when a new version of MySQL is released with MAMP.
