Re: Switching PHP versions suddenly not switching CLI versions
What doesn't work when you go to switch from Module to CLI? Is it greyed out? Any messages trying too? For macOS Monterey question, I can say the latest version of MAMP v6.6.1 is working in macOS Monterey 12.1. However, I've found some issues others may want to wait before upgrading: 1. Apache rando...

Apache randomly stopping. (macOS Monterey) (plenty of resources available)
Update: This could be an issue between macOS version. Using the same Apache build in macOS 10.15.7 Catalina and macOS 12.1 Monterey. Still getting the Apache hung processes and randomly not working in macOS 12.1. Both versions of MAMP Pro are different but using same Apache/PHP configurations and c...

Unchecking SSL deletes certificates...

Anyone had success modifying MAMP's startup scripts for Apache/MySQL?
I wanted to add a line to de.appsolute.mampproapache file to increase open file limits. I've been testing and looks like the file does not overwrite stop/starting services. The MAMP MySQL and Apache startup scripts are located: /Library/Application Support/appsolute/MAMP PRO/bin de.appsolute.mamppr...

Increasing max processes and files to fix Apache (macOS Monterey)
In Apache, you may start seeing errors: (24)Too many open files: AH00099: (24)Too many open files: mod_wsgi (pid=931) You notice Apache getting hung, not starting, or forcibly quitting. You likely have a lot of VHOSTS setup and are reaching the default macOS open file and descriptor limits. The defa...

Configuring an M1 Mac as WebServer - No MAMP (macOS Monterey)
This is a great guide to configuring PHP/Apache/MySQL 8 on an M1 Mac if you don't want to use MAMP. MAMP will always offer better control than a traditional mac webserver, but you likely will have better performance overall without MAMP https://tech-cookbook.com/2021/10/25/how-to-setup-mamp-macos-ap...
