Re: is MAMP dead?

I saw a dev note in the bug base the new version of Mamp will have MySQL and other fixes. The question is, when.
The upcoming MAMP PRO Version 7 will include MysQL Version 8 as well. It will allow you to choose between 5.7 or 8.x, but they won't be running simultaneously.

How to enable remoteip Apache module in MAMP Pro

For services like Cloudflare, you may want to see actual IP addresses of clients hitting your sites in your Apache access logs (not cloudflare proxy IP's.) To do this, you need to enable remoteip Apache module and confgiure the trusted proxy addresses. Per Apache: This module is used to treat the us...

Re: Mamp Pro slower than remote server

While I was typing out an enquiry here to try and find a solution to how ridiculously slow my Mamp Pro is getting - so much slower than an online server, I found the answer. I'm posting it here in case it helps someone else with the same issue. Under PHP I set the cache module to OPcache, then I cl...

Re: No Apache errors being written to logs.

Yes, i tried without SSL enabled. Yes, i tried using a variety of ports, including the default ones. No, i have not uninstalled/reinstalled. I will try that. Still, my question remains. Should there not be some sort of message in a log somewhere indicating exactly what the problem is? Is this an in...

Re: No Apache errors being written to logs.

Did you try without SSL enabled?
Did you try using default ports? 443 and 80?
Try uninstalling/re-installing MAMP if possible, could be a permissions issue.
