I have a couple of noob questions that hopefully I can get answers to.

My MAMP setup uses the default htdocs root that I want to change to another location. I know how to change it so I'm fine with that.

I just wanted to check this: my current htdocs root contains a number of active wordpress sites, if I change the root and move the sites to the new location is that safe, it won't mess up database connections or anything?

I was also curious when I upgrade MAMP does it find the external root from the prior version preferences or does it need to be reset?

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

As long as your updating your hosts document roots in MAMP after you update it should be fine, but always test it first if it's a live site especially.

It should remember your last settings, but always test first..
